| The Chamber operates through a series of Standing Committees each dealing with current business topics such as Investment, Taxation, Environment etc. and engages the Malaysian government on matters of significance as an advocate on behalf of its Members and the business community in general with the aim of improving the business environment. |

| MICCI has branches throughout Peninsula Malaysia and Sabah. In Sarawak, the Sarawak Chamber of Commerce and Industry acts as an Associate Chamber to MICCI and its Members are considered to be MICCI Members also. |
