Adjudication Process
 
The Adjudication Process comes under the supervision and direction of an Adjudication Committee. The decision of the Adjudication Committee with regards to the SCCI Annual Corporate Report Awards results shall be final and binding. Assessment of the Annual Reports will be carried out by a panel of Adjudicators, drawn from the accountancy profession, the banking and securities industries, as well as various regulatory bodies and the academic institutions.
 
Preliminary screening for all listed corporate entities will be conducted before selection for the adjudication process. Qualifying criteria include:
 
Promptness of publication i.e. annual audited financial statements are submitted to BMSB within four months after the year-end and the published annual report received by BMSB within six months after the year-end.
   
Auditors’ Report contains no qualification.
   
Compliance with all applicable Approved Accounting Standards in Malaysia.
   
Information on shareholders’ statistics as required by the Listing Requirements of BMSB.
   
Particulars of properties as required by the Listing Requirements of BMSB.
   
Information on the composition and terms of reference of the Audit Committee.
   
No public sanction by BMSB or the Securities Commission on company affairs.
 
A rigorous evaluation process will be performed and corporate entities will be ranked according to the marks allocated. The highest scoring corporate entity will be declared the Award winner.
